The determination of Commercial goods, for the purpose of the Customs is based on the goods being imported into Bahamas for sale or for any industrial, occupational, commercial, institutional or other like use. Commercial in this context is not limited to remuneration or resale, but also includes business transactions for charitable uses.

When creating a Form in the app, the data you add may be lost if you close the app or your phone restarts during the initial process, unless you have already tapped “Calculate Duty.” Your form is not saved until you’ve calculated duty at least once. Any edits after the first “Calculate Duty” action, auto-saves. It is recommended that you do the following to prevent loss of information during this process; especially if you anticipate interruptions, travel information changes, and/or have many items to declare: 1. Tap “Calculate Duty” after the first few items 2. Return to “My Forms” in the main menu 3. Choose “C17 Accompanied Baggage Declaration” (or other form type you are creating) Choose “Uncompleted” 4. Find your current C17 form and tap “Edit Form” to the right of it From this point, any information and items added will automatically save This is the best way to avoid loss of data and having to restart a form.

Exempt is now available for use at all ports of Entry into the Bahamas.

The only information you can manually enter into your profile is your Address and your Telephone Number. All personal information such as birth date, passport number, etc., must be updated by scanning your passport. You can scan your Passport by going to the My Account Page Step 1. Select Update Step 2. Select Scan Passport at the top left of the page. Step 3. Place passport in front of the camera on your phone Step 4. Scan the MRZ code at the bottom of your picture page in your passport. Step 5. All information such as your birthday, passport number etc. will be populated in the corresponding fields. Step 6. Select save and your profile will be updated with the correct information from your passport

This is a fee imposed to assist the government, via the Ministry of Environmental Health with the disposal of items that are hazardous to the environment and require special waste disposal treatment.
